Clerk of the Board, based upon the recommendation of Supervisor Veerkamp, recommending the Board make the following appointment to the Assessment Appeals Board:
Reappoint Sandi North, District III Member, Term Expiration 9/1/2022.
Body
The Assessment Appeals Board constitutes the County Board of Equalization that shall equalize values of all property on the local assessment roll by adjusting individual assessments. This Board is to exercise its powers in the manner and subject to the limitations specified by California law.
Sandi North has been the District III Member on the Assessment Appeals Board since 2008.
BACKGROUND
Pursuant to Ordinance Code Section 2.20.050(b) states:
Upon the expiration of any term of office or the occurrence of a vacancy on the Assessment Appeals Board (AAB), the Board of Supervisors shall fill such office or vacancy by direct appointment. Anyone appointed to fill a vacancy during the term of a regular member shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term.
Sandi North's most recent term ends August 30, 2019 and she has expressed interest in continuing her service to El Dorado County in this capacity.
