Supervisor Parlin recommending the Board appoint Stanley Butts to the Georgetown Cemetery Zone of Benefit Advisory Committee.

The Georgetown Cemetery Zone of Benefit was formed in 1984 for the purposes of creating, operating and maintaining two public cemeteries: Georgetown Pioneer and Georgia Slide. An Advisory Committee was formed and the Committee members act as liaisons between zone residents, property owners and the County. These Committee members play a vital role in providing advice regarding the expenditure of special taxes or assessments for delivery of public services related to these cemeteries.
The Georgetown Cemetery Advisory Committee notified staff and Supervisor Parlin that the Committee was requesting to have their membership increased to five. An application was received from Stanley Butts, who has previously served as a Member of the Georgetown Cemetery Zone of Benefit Advisory Committee. After reviewing his application, his appointment is now being requested to be approved by the Board.
