DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
A request has been submitted by Will Sykes, owner of Assessor Parcel Number (APN) 102-432-036, requesting that the County of El Dorado, Board of Supervisors, vacate a public utility easement located on the subject property. Said easement is more particularly described in Exhibit A and depicted on Exhibit B of the attached Resolution. This property is in the community of Rescue.

The public utility easement, as shown on Lot 42 and Lot 43 of The Highlands, Unit No. 4B, recorded at Book G of Subdivisions at Page 83, was offered to the County of El Dorado by Pokfulam Development Company Limited, on December 3, 1987. The easement was acknowledged and accepted by the County of El Dorado on December 22, 1987 and the Subdivision Map recorded on December 28, 1987.

ALTERNATIVES
An alternative would be to not adopt a Resolution of Vacation for Abandonment of Easement 19-0002. By utilizing this alternative, the owner of Assessor Parcel Number 102-432-036 would be unable to purse any development that would impact this easement.

PRIOR BOARD ACTION

OTHER DEPARTMENT / AGENCY INVOLVEMENT
AT&T, Comcast, El Dorado Irrigation District and Pacific Gas & Electric have not used said easement for the purpose for which it was dedicated and find no present or future need exists for subject easement and do not object to its vacation, and to that end, have all issued letters to that effect.
