Human Services Department recommending the Chairman be authorized to sign Contract No. R9070535-02 with Golden Sierra Job Training Agency in the amount of $41,925, for the term December 1, 2008 through December 31, 2009 to provide augmented Workforce Investment Act Dislocated Worker job training activities by El Dorado County as Area Partner Consortium Operator of the Golden Sierra Job Training Agency Consortium; and the Director of Human Services, or successor, be authorized to execute subsequent documents relating to said contract, including any amendments thereto, contingent upon approval by County Counsel and Risk Management, that do not affect the dollar amount or the term and required fiscal and programmatic reports.
FUNDING: Federal Workforce Investment Act - Governor authorized Dislocated Worker Economic Stimulus Funds.

Contract No. R9070535-02 allocates $41,925 to El Dorado County for provision of augmented Workforce Investment Act Dislocated Worker activities during the term December 1, 2008 through December 31, 2009. Allocated revenues are included in the FY 2009-10 County Budget Request and are expected to cover all anticipated Program costs.
Background:
On September 7, 2005, the Golden Sierra Governing Board approved the establishment of El Dorado County as the first Consortium Operator under the Local Workforce Investment Act Program, effective July 1, 2006.
