Title

Clerk of the Board, based upon the recommendation of the In-Home Supportive Services Advisory Committee, recommending the following pertaining to In-Home Supportive Services Advisory Committee's membership:

1) Change Ellen Yevdakimov from a Community Representative to a Consumer Representative, Term Expiration 1/8/2020; and

Body

A Notice of Vacancy has been continually posted for the  In-Home Supportive Services Advisory Committee due to the number of vacant positions, with the most recent update to the Notice of Vacancy being posted on May 17, 2019.  According to the Bylaws of the  In-Home Supportive Services Advisory Committee, "No less than 50 percent of the membership of the Committee shall be individuals who are current or past users of personal assistance services paid for through public or private funds or as recipients of services under this article". The Committee has struggled with its membership and changing Ellen Yevdakimov to a Consumer Representative assists the Committee to move closer to having 50 percent of its membership current or past users of personal assistance. Ellen Yevdakimov's application is attached to demonstrate that the change to Consumer Representative is appropriate. Brian Lordson applied to the Committee and the Committee discussed his appointment. The Committee feels he would be an asset and requests the Board to move forward with his appointment. The Committee is actively looking for other methods to recruit members.
