DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
On December 10, 2019, the Board of Supervisors appointed the Director of Human Resources as its designated representative to negotiate salary, compensation in the form of fringe benefits, and other related terms and conditions of employment with the Director of Library Services candidate in accordance with Government Code section 54957.6.
The recommendation is that Carolyn Brooks be appointed to step 3 of the salary range, as Director of Library Services and that benefits and other compensation be per the Salary and Benefits Resolution for Unrepresented Employees.
ALTERNATIVES
If not approved, the County will be required to conduct another recruitment for the position of Director of Library Services.
