DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
A request has been submitted by Jaskaran S. Gill and Baljit K. Gill., owner of Assessor's Parcel Number 123-060-024, requesting that the County of El Dorado, Board of Supervisors, vacate a public utility easement located on said property. Subject easement is more particularly described in Exhibit A and depicted on Exhibit B of the attached Resolution.
The public utility easement, as shown on Lot 22 of Village H, El Dorado Hills, Unit 1, recorded in Book H of Subdivisions at Page 98, was offered to the County of El Dorado by El Dorado Hills Development, Company, A California General Partnership, on June 13,1995. The easement was acknowledged and accepted by the County of El Dorado on June 6, 1995, and the Subdivision Map was recorded on August 24,1995.
ALTERNATIVES
An alternative would be to not adopt a Resolution of Vacation for Abandonment of Easement 19-0007. By utilizing this alternative, the owner of Assessor's Parcel 123-060-024, would be unable to pursue any development that would impact subject easement.
PRIOR BOARD ACTION

OTHER DEPARTMENT / AGENCY INVOLVEMENT
AT&T, Comcast, El Dorado Irrigation District, and Pacific Gas & Electric have not used said portion of subject easement for the purpose for which it was dedicated and find no present or future need exists for said portion of subject easement and do not object to its vacation, and to that end, have all issued letters to that effect.

It is recommended that the Board approve this item.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The Surveyor”s Office collects a fee for processing the Abandoment of Easement on a time and materials basis. There is no fiscal impact as a result of the approval of this item.
CLERK OF THE BOARD FOLLOW UP ACTIONS
1) Clerk of the Board to obtain the Chair's signature on the one (1) Resolution.
2) Clerk of the Board to record the Resolution at the Recorder’s Office.
3) Clerk of the Board to return a copy of the recorded Resolution for further processing to the Surveyor's Office, Attn: Jane McClusky.
