Body

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND

On February 5, 2020, the Purchasing Agent executed Agreement 4561 with Liebert Security, LLC for the provision of a security review and report, and 5 hours per month of information security officer support during the one-year term of the Agreement. The security review and report was based upon interviews with Information Technologies staff and review of El Dorado Counties policies, practices, procedures.

Amendment 1 is for the provision of a network environment susceptibility test and report. The test consists of distributing sensors throughout the County’s network and running simulated malicious cyberattacks against the County’s network and sensors. The collective results from both assessments will be used to develop a 3 year Cyber Security Strategy/Plan.

ALTERNATIVES

The Board may elect to not approve the Amendment, which would impact the development of the 3 year Security Strategy, potentially causing risk to the El Dorado County Government Organization.
