Title: Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) recommending the Board: 1) Make findings in accordance with County Ordinance 3.13.030 that it is appropriate to contract with Nelson S. DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND:
Acting as the Mental Health Plan (MHP) for the County of El Dorado, the County has the obligation to provide eligible County residents with access to long-term residential treatment facilities. The County contracts with as many long-term residential treatment facilities as possible in order to ensure capacity and availability of services on an “as needed” basis. On July 14, 2018, the Board approved Agreement 3132 with Nelson S. Jacinto, doing business as Grace Home II, a licensed Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE), to provide twenty-four hour care and rehabilitation services to assist clients with mental disorders. Grace Home II provides reliable and quality services to County clients, therefore, this proposed Agreement with Grace Home II renews the existing Agreement for a further three years with a maximum obligation of $600,000.
