DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The Caldor Fire, which began on August 14, 2021, spread rapidly throughout El Dorado County resulting in destruction to homes, businesses, and infrastructure. As of October 21, 2021 the fire is 100% contained, burned 221,835 acres and damaged or destroyed 1,086 structures.
As many County departments and partner agencies are involved in the recovery efforts, each of the departments/agencies will give an update to the Board.
