Reason for Recommendation:  On September 12, 3006, the Board adopted a revised purchasing ordinance and procurement policy.  As a result of increased delegated signature authority for the Purchasing Agent, the Ordinance and Board of Supervisors Policy C-17 require the Purchasing Agent to submit to the Board a report of procurement and contracting activity quarterly.
 
The attached reports are presented at a summary level.  The comprehensive report that covers the period of January 1, 2009 through June 30, 2009 is available on the Procurement and Contracts Division's internet web site and is available for public perusal at any time.
 
Action to be taken following Board approval:  No further Action Required.
