Reason for Recommendation:
The Transitional Housing Placement Program (THPP) is a program designed to prepare foster youth for successful emancipation and independent living in the community.  The program is available to 16-19-year-old youth in out-of-home placement through the Juvenile Court, who are participating in, or have successfully completed, the Independent Living Program (ILP) administered by the Department of Human Services (DHS).  Remi Vista, Inc., is licensed by the California Department of Social Services to provide THPP services.  This service is necessary to enable DHS to provide eligible youth with support in transitioning to independent living through the THPP services provided by Remi Vista, Inc., in accordance with provisions of the DHS Transitional Housing Placement Program Plan approved by the Board on May 23, 2006.

The maximum compensation amount of $593,352 for the three-year term of the Agreement is based on a monthly rate of $2,747 per child up to a maximum of six (6) children that can be placed concurrently at Remi Vista, Inc.
