Human Resources Department, Risk Management Division, recommending Chairman be authorized to sign Agreement for Services 273-S1010 with Bickmore Risk Services for a six month term in an amount not to exceed $50,000 to provide services to assist with the annual study of El Dorado County's self-insured workers' compensation and liability programs and to provide an assessment and recommendation on the structure and operations of the current Risk Management Program, subject to approval and/or minor revision by County Counsel, Auditor and Chief Administrative Office.

Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: There is no change to the Net County cost as this is in the Risk Mangement Internal Fund and it is anticipated that there will be savings in the claims for this current year to cover the additional costs. Final agreement subject to approval and/or minor revision by County Counsel, Auditor & CAO.
Background:
Reason for Recommendation: Human Resources Department, Risk Management Division has, for several years, contracted with Bickmore Risk Services to assist the with the annual study of the County's self-insured workers' compensation and liability programs. In addition to these services, the County is requesting Bickmore Risk Services provide an assessment of the current Risk Management Program and provide recommendations to help the county better manage its risks, reduce its potential losses and improve processes. This agreement is for a six (6) month period of time and not to exceed $50,000.
Action to be taken following Board approval: The Board Clerk will return one fully executed original to Human Resources Department, Risk Management Division for distribution and administration.
