DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND

Dave Cook has been volunteering for Sierra Wildlife Rescue for over 22 years. "Deer Dave" as he is known, is available to residents on the West Slope 24/7 and has received thousands of calls for deer rescue as well as rehabbed over 1,000 fawns. He donates his time, gas and resources as well as using his own property to rehab fawns. When residents contact Dave they are comfortable knowing that distressed deer are in good hands.

The Board could decide not to approve the proclamation.
