Funding for this acquisition will be provided by the 2004 General Plan El Dorado Hills Traffic Impact Mitigation fee program and is included in the project's work program. There is no net County cost associated with this agenda item.

Reason for Recommendation:
Currently, Silva Valley Parkway is a four-lane road from Harvard Drive to Entrada Drive, where it transitions into two lanes. The Department (DOT) is currently in the design phase to widen a two-lane segment of Silva Valley Parkway, between Entrada Drive to a point 700 feet south of Oak Meadow Elementary School, to four lanes (Silva Valley Parkway Widening Project #72370). This project includes a median and Class II bike lanes and was anticipated as part of the original four-lane widening project currently in place, in El Dorado Hills.

This project is subject to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). A CEQA Notice of Exemption was filed in the office of the El Dorado County Recorder-Clerk's office on April 13, 2009.
