Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: There is no net County cost associated with this Agreement. The County will receive $44,608 through Sacramento County to support HOPWA activities in 2010.

Background: Sacramento County is the applicant/recipient for the Federal Housing and Urban Development (HUD) / HOPWA grant and serves as the fiscal intermediary for the allocation of HOPWA funds. El Dorado and other local rural counties receive HOPWA and Ryan White C.A.R.E. Act funding through Sacramento County. Other programs serving acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) clients are funded directly by the State under an AIDS Master Grant; activities included under the Master Grant include, but are not limited to, 1) education and prevention of AIDS, 2) evaluation of local interventions for AIDS, 3) human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) counseling and testing, and 4) a drug assistance program.
