Department of Transportation recommending the Board adopt a Resolution to sanction the closure of Pony Express Trail between Sly Park Road and Sanders Drive, with partial road closures at the intersections of Forebay Road, Oak Street, North Street, Polaris Street, Laurel Drive and Sanders Drive, on Sunday, July 4, 2010, between 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. for the "Pollock Pines 4th of July Parade," subject to conditions set forth in Resolution No. 110-79, and conditions set forth in the "Application for Road Closure."

Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: No fiscal impact or net County cost.
Background: The "Pollock Pines 4th of July Parade" is an annual event sponsored by the Pollock Pines Camino Community Center. Requested road closures are for the safety of the parade participants, children, volunteers, and spectators along the course.
Reason for Recommendation: The Department of Transportation is recommending Board approval of the closure to allow for the safety and success of this community event. Other involved agencies have made no objection to this closure.
Action to be taken following Board approval:
1. The Board Clerk to obtain the Chairperson's signature on the Resolution.
2. The Board Clerk to send a fully executed copy of the Resolution to the
Department of Transportation.
3. The roads listed in the Resolution will be closed on Sunday, July 4, 2010,
between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. for the "Pollock Pines 4th of July Parade"
activities.
