Background: The Recorder-Clerk's Office contracts with ATPAC for the department's CRiis System which is an information imaging system. The software license for the CRiis server is proprietary to Cyberscience Corporation. As such, there is a perpetual tri-partite software license agreement whereby the software license is purchased by ATPAC, who resells the license to the County as the end user.

Reason for Recommendation: The server that houses the software license recently quit working. The department acquired a new server. This required a transfer of the license to the new hardware. ATPAC transferred the license through the amendment to the tri-partite agreement. The amendment to the tri-partite agreement requires that the department pay a one-time fee of $500.00 to ATPAC for the transfer of the license.

Action to be taken following Board approval: The Board Clerk's Office will return two (2) originals of the amendment to the department for distribution and the Recorder-Clerk's Office will process a claim for the payment of the one-time fee of $500.00 to ATPAC.
