Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: There is no Net County Cost associated with this Agreement.

Background: Health Net of California, Inc., obtained a grant through the Managed Risk Medical Insurance Board (MRMIB) for a Rural Health Demonstration Project (RHDP) and contracted with the Public Health Division to provide improved access to dental services for children and adolescents in the unincorporated areas of the County. The Board approved the RHDP Agreement with Health Net of California on March 31, 2009 with a term through June 30, 2010.

Due to the success of the program, Health Net has agreed to extend the term of the original grant agreement to allow continued use of the remaining funds for activities and financial commitments related to the Agreement’s previously authorized scope of work. The Department’s Addenda budget will reflect the amount to be expended during the extended grant period.

Compensation for Services: Payments to County are made within thirty (30) days of receipt of quarterly invoices.

Contract Termination: This Agreement includes a mutual provision to terminate the Agreement without cause upon seven (7) calendar days written notice.
