Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: The total project cost is estimated at $101,466.00, which includes $61,320.00 for construction and $40,146.00 to cover engineering and administration. $96,393.00 of this cost is covered by this FAA grant and the local match of $5,073.00 will come from the Accumulative Capital Outlay Fund (ACO).

Background: On July 27, 2010 your Board adopted Resolution 111-2010 acknowledging the Department of Transportation's Director or his designee signing of the application for grant funding for this project from the FAA. The Department of Transportation performed an informal bid process and opened bids on July 30, 2010 at 2:00 pm. The Abstract of Bids was presented to the FAA and on August 19, 2010 the FAA gave approval to issue the grant.

Reason for Recommendation: Acceptance of the grant will allow the County to continue with the FAA's recommended improvements and complete necessary hazard repairs.
