Sheriff's Department recommending the Board approve a perpetual Agreement 874-S0910 with TransUnion LLC for Fiscal Year 2010-11 to extend the term of the blanket purchase order through August 2011 for the provision of credit reporting capability to the Department for applicant background investigations.

Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: None. The Sheriff's FY 2010-11 budget has appropriated funding for this service.
Background: The Sheriff's Office has been utilizing the services of TransUnion Corporation since December of 1999 to obtain credit reports for applicant background investigations.
Reason for Recommendation: Due to the perpetual nature of the agreement, the Sheriff will return to the Board each fiscal year for continuing approval. In addition, the Blanket Purchase order expired on August 27, 2010. The Department is requesting to extend the term of the blanket purchase order at this time. Sufficient funding remains on the blanket purchase order for the upcoming fiscal year.
Action to be taken following Board approval: Procurements and Contracts will extend the blanket purchase thru August 2011.
