Background:
The Department of Transportation (DOT) is advancing the White Rock Road Widening and Signalization Project #72372 (Project) to widen a two lane segment of White Rock Road, between Post Street to the culvert west of Monte Verde Drive, to four lanes; make ADA improvements to the White Rock Road and Post Street intersection; and signalize the intersection at White Rock Road and Windfield Way.

The Project has CEQA approval under a Mitigated Negative Declaration dated March 2001 and a Categorical Exemption dated July 14, 2010. This project is included in the Ten-Year Capital Improvement Program for FY 2009/10 through FY 2018/19 as Project #72372.

On August 17, 2010, the Board of Supervisors adopted and approved the Plans and Specifications and authorized advertisement for construction bids for the Project. As part of that approval process, DOT notified the Board that staff was working with El Dorado Hills Investors, Ltd. to obtain a Traffic Signal Appurtenances Easement on six parcels for the installation of a traffic signal at White Rock Road and Windfield Way.
