Title: Development Services Department recommending the Board of Supervisors receive and file the annual report for Fiscal Year 2009-10 on the Oak Woodlands Management Plan (OWMP): retain the fee amount as presently set, with the intention to review and update the fee, if necessary, after the conclusion of the currently pending litigation; and continue to utilize staff resources for management, monitoring and acquisition activities associated with the OWMP for at least the current fiscal year.

Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: none
 
Background: Section 17.73.090 of the County Code requires an annual report to the Board to review the success of the OWMP. Attachment A is the second such report since adoption of the Plan in 2008.
 
Action to be taken following Board approval: DSD staff will continue to monitor oak woodland loss, collection of fees, and replanting areas. Staff will look for opportunities to acquire conservation easements utilizing the oak woodland conservation fund in the priority conservation areas.
