Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:  The contract amount of a not to exceed amount of $126,000 represents $35,000 in administrative costs budgeted and paid through the Risk Management Liability fund, with the remaining cost of $91,000 being absorbed by departments as part of their pre-employment costs.
 
Background:
 
Reason for Recommendation:  The Human Resources Department, Risk Management Division has contracted with Occu-Med LTD., to provide occupational health services, specifically in the areas of pre-employment (post offer) physical evaluations, immunizations specific to certain job classifications and fitness-for-duty examinations.  The language has been revised from previous agreements with this vendor to clarify time-lines for physical evaluations, to include required immunizations that are job specific, identify qualifications of consultants and staff, and compensation for services.  
 
Action to be taken following Board approval:  The Human Resources Department, Risk Management Division will execute the contract and the Auditor's office will process all approved claims.
