Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:

On November 9, 2010, your Board approved a perpetual agreement with Sirron Software, Corp to provide software maintenance for a specialized software program used by the Sheriff's Civil Section in an amount not to exceed $3,583. The total cost for Sirron Software Corp. to provide software maintenance to four additional laptop computers will increase the maximum amount of this contract by $684 to $4,267. Funding for this increase is available within the Sheriff's Office operating budget.

Background:

In accordance with Government Code Section 54202 and the County's Purchasing Ordinance, on August 4, 2009 the Sheriff's Office advised the Board of this perpetual maintenance agreement that is administered by the Sheriff for the annual maintenance of a specialized software programs used by the Department's Civil Section. The original agreement dates back to 1999. On March 9, 2010, the Board approved Amendment #1 to this agreement to provide for the annual fee for software services and maintenance. At the request of the Sheriff's Office, on November 9, 2010, the Board authorized the continuation of this perpetual agreement with Sirron Software, Corp. for ongoing annual maintenance of the specialized software program used by the Civil Section.
