Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:
There are no fees or assessments relative to this Easement.  There is no fiscal impact or net cost to the County General Fund associated with this agenda item.
 
Reason for Recommendation:
The Department of Transportation (Department) will begin construction as early as August 1, 2011 on the Sawmill 2 Bike Path and Erosion Control Project (Project).  The purpose of this Easement is to utilize one California Tahoe Conservancy (CTC) owned parcel (Assessor's Parcel Number 33-010-20) for the purpose of constructing drainage improvements, a class 1 bike path, a fence, and signage in order to meet the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency's transportation, recreation and water quality goals.
 
Action to be taken following Board approval:
1. The Board Clerk will obtain the Chair's signature on one (1) original copy of the Easement Agreement and Certificate of Acceptance.
2. The Board Clerk will complete the All Purpose Notary Acknowledgement provided and forward to the Recorder/Clerk's office for recordation.
3. The Board Clerk will send one fully executed copy of the Easement Agreement, the Certificate of Acceptance, and the All Purpose Notary Acknowledgement to the Department.
 
Action to be taken by Department following Board approval:
1. Upon receipt of one fully executed copy of the Easement Agreement and Certificate of Acceptance from the Board Clerk, the Department will forward to the CTC.
