Title
Department of Human Services recommending the Board consider the following:
1) Authorize the Chair to sign a Vendor Agreement with Del Oro Caregiver Resource Center (DCRC) to enable the Senior Day Care Program to receive reimbursement in the estimated amount of $20,000 for respite services provided during the period July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012; and
2) Authorize the Department Director, or successor, to sign subsequent amendments thereto, contingent upon County Counsel and Risk Management approval, that do not affect the term or the dollar amount.
FUNDING: State Grant Funds.

Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:
None. The reimbursement rate of $56 per day covers the entire cost of providing services. There is no maximum annual reimbursement amount. However, usage is estimated and budgeted at $20,000 for FY 2011-12.
Reason for Recommendation:
Del Oro Caregiver Resource Center receives annual funding from the State Department of Mental Health, which enables them to reimburse counties in their region, including El Dorado County, for respite services to their eligible clients. A number of Senior Day Care clients are DCRC eligible, and the cooperative contractual arrangement, first established in 1989-90, benefits both the Program and the clients. The Del Oro Caregiver Resource Center (DCRC) provides $56 per day funding per person for respite care as provided by this Department's Senior Day Care Program. This "Vendor Agreement" is the contract that allows for reimbursement to the County for services to eligible DCRC clients during Fiscal Year 2011-12.
Action to be taken following Board approval:
1) Chair to sign (2) original agreements.
2) Board Clerk's Office to return (1) original agreement to the Department at Briw Road.
3) Department to distribute as appropriate.
