Virgil Toothaker exemplifies the highest county standard in public service. He is a solutions oriented representative of the Development Services Department and has been a great leader and example for colleagues and other departments.
Virgil started with the County of El Dorado on January 12,1990, and plans to retire on or about Sept. 16, 2011. He has served more than 21 years with the County and held positions as: Building Inspector, Senior Building Inspector, Operations Supervisor, and Branch Manager.
Notably, Virgil holds special certifications as: Mechanical Inspector, Plumbing Inspector, Building Inspector, Plans Examiner, Building Official, Combination Inspector, and, Electrical Inspector.
Virgil Toothaker's shoes will be difficult to fill and he will be greatly missed by all.
