FUNDING: California Tahoe Conservancy.
Body
Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:
There is no Net County Cost associated with this agenda item.

Background:
Agreement CTA-06036 was originally authorized by the California Tahoe Conservancy (CTC) Board on March 16, 2007 and was approved by the County of El Dorado Board of Supervisors (Board) on June 5, 2007.  Amendment 1 to the Agreement was authorized by the CTC Board on December 14, 2009 and was approved by the Board on April 6, 2010.  Amendment 1 to Agreement CTA-06036 shifted the remaining fund balance of the original Agreement into the Phase 2 portion of the Christmas Valley Phase 2 Erosion Control Projects (Project) via a CTC approved Project grant boundary adjustment to the original Project boundary.

Reason for Recommendation:
Amendment 2 to Agreement CTA-06036 extends the term of the Agreement from June 30, 2011 to June 1, 2013 and will allow the Department of Transportation (Department) to continue work on Phase 2C of the Project.  Due to various Right Of Way delays construction of this phase of the Project will not take place until 2012.

Action to be taken following Board approval:
1. The Clerk of the Board will obtain the Chair's signature on the five originals of the subject grant Amendment.
2. The Clerk of the Board will return all five partially executed original sets and a certified copy of the Minute Order to the Department for CTC review and approval.

Action to be taken by the Department following Board approval:
1. Upon receiving the fully executed Agreement from the CTC, the Department will forward an original to the Clerk of the Board's office and retain a copy for its files.
