Open Forum is an opportunity for members of the public to address the Committee on subject  
matter that is not on their meeting agenda and within their jurisdiction. Public comments during

Planning and Building Department Director, Karen L. Garner, provided the  
Committee with a revised Draft Resolution for review.  
The Committee also discussed ways to provide input on the economic impacts  
of incoming projects without becoming part of the formal review process.  
A motion was made by Vice Chair Spaur, seconded by Member McLain, to  
approve the Draft Resolution and direct staff to forward to the Board of  
Supervisors.

Chair Ribaudo provided a brief history of the Economic Strategy, including a  
focus on the importance of defined roles and responsibilities to avoid  
duplication of efforts. The Committee further discussed aspects of the Economic  
Strategy including the short-term implementation steps.  
Chair Ribaudo outlined next steps, including further development of the  
Economic Strategy, presentation of the Resolution at the next meeting, and  
review of the Economic Strategy by the Budget Committee and subsequent  
approval by the Board of Supervisors. Work plans will be developed following  
Board of Supervisor approval.

Update on EGG, El Dorado Economic Generator and Germination, with  
Lexi Boeger and Lauren Hernandez.

The Committee received a presentation from Lexi Boeger and Lauren  
Hernandez on the El Dorado Economic Generator & Germination (EGG),  
providing an overview of the organization’s mission, founders, current and  
future projects, and related timelines and key milestones.
