Hearing to consider Underdog Academy Dog Training and Kennel Project
(Conditional Use Permit CUP23-0001) to allow operation of a small
home-based dog training and kennel business consisting of no more than
five (5) dogs at a time on property, identified by Assessor’s Parcel Number
089-070-029, consisting of Five (5) acres, is located on the west side of
Gold Strike Drive, approximately 1,150 feet south of the intersection with
Gold Hill Road, northwest of the Placerville Community Region, submitted
by Kara Fike; staff recommends the Zoning Administrator take the
following actions:
1) Find the project Exempt under Section 15303 of the CEQA Guidelines;
and
2) Approve Conditional Use Permit CUP23-0001, based on the Findings
and subject to the Conditions of Approval as presented.

Hearing to consider Hasser Project (Variance V24-0002) request for a
reduction of the side setback from 30 feet to 14.4 feet to allow for the
permittance of an existing garage built in 1977 on property, identified by
Assessor’s Parcel Number 105-080-008, consisting of 5 acres, is located
on the north side of Petersen Lane, approximately 1,000 feet west of the
intersection with Bassi Road, in the Lotus area, submitted by Christopher
Hasser; staff recommends the Zoning Administrator take the following
actions:
1) Find Variance V24-0002 CEQA Exempt pursuant to CEQA Guidelines
Section 15301 (Existing Facilities); and
2) Approve Variance V24-0002 based on the Findings, and subject to the
Conditions of Approval as presented.
