I understand that Item 19 on the consent calendar for the September 17, 2019 Board of Supervisors meeting is comprised of a recommendations from the Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) and the Human Resources Department that you approve the revised department-specific class specification for a Director of Mental Health, adopt and authorize the title change from Mental Health Director to Director of Mental Health, and add a 1.0 FTE Director of Mental Health in the HHSA to the county Personnel Allocation.  I wish to convey that as Chair of the county Behavioral Health Commission, I fully support without reservation these recommended changes.  If you have any questions or wish to discuss these further, please feel free to contact me.
