Responsible for hearing appeals on either dismissal, suspension or demotion of County employees who have attained Civil Service Status. Section 502.2 of County Charter. Four-year term, Term shall be coterminous with term of nominating Supervisor. Five commissioners, each appointed to a four-year term per Section 31111 of Government Code. Each Commissioner receives $50 per evening & $100 for day hearings & $25 for each regular meeting, plus mileage & expenses. Meetings held on the first Tuesday of November, February, May & August of each year. Hearing scheduled as necessary. Resolution 394-87, Ordinance 427, Adopted 8/29/60. File LHR 82-1
