Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost
There is no Net County Cost associated with these Agreements. Sufficient appropriations were included in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2012-13 budget.
Background
Agreement 185-S1110 with BHC Sierra Vista, Inc. was originally developed in 2010 for the provision of inpatient mental health treatment services for children. In 2012 the Health and Human Services Agency, Mental Health Division (HHSA/MHD) needed to provide services for adults and BHC Sierra Vista, Inc., had capacity. This resulted in admission of adults to BHC Sierra Vista, Inc., and the need to amend the Agreement to incorporate language allowing services to be provided for adult clients. At that time, the agreement was amended (Ammendment II) increasing the not-to-exceed amount by $2,840 to ensure continued availability of services through the term of the agreement, ending on June 30, 2013.
Reason for Recommendation
The Health and Human Services Agency recommends approval of this Amendment II to Agreement 185-S1110 to ensure sufficient funds are available through the remainder of the term of this Agreement to continue providing inpatient mental health treatment services for children and adults.
