DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND

Pro-Line Cleaning Services, Inc. has been servicing the Public Safety Facility since 2019 to the satisfaction of the Sheriff's Office in regard to both the levels of service and background checks of Pro-Line employees.

On June 27, 2024, Pro-Line was formally approved to a qualified list for Janitorial Services as the result of competitive Request for Qualifications (RFQ) 24-0043.

Agreement for Services 9589 would provide for three additional years of service (July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2028) for the Public Safety Facility's Administration Building, Special Operations, and Morgue facilities with a cost not to exceed $450,956. Services are broken down into daily, weekly, semi-weekly, and monthly tasks. Department requirements and company capacity have prevented complete county-wide consolidation of contracting; however, staff will continue to pursue consolidation of contracting services as the opportunity arises.

It is further recommended the Board make findings pursuant to Ordinance Code, Section 3.13.030(a), El Dorado County Charter, Section 210(b)(6) and/or Government Code Section 31000 that such services provided by Contractor are in the public's best interest, and the work can be more economically and feasibly performed by an independent contractor than County employees

ALTERNATIVES
