Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: Funding for year-3, July 1, 2006 through June 30, 2007, is increased from $24,277 to $129,150 with additional funding of $104,873. This funding was known and added to the budget in September. There is no Net County Cost.
Background: Each year, the State of California issues AIDS Program funding to California counties to continue their work preventing, counseling, testing, and tracking HIV/AIDS. The documents include a Master Grant, which describes the terms/conditions and reimbursement/reporting procedures, and individual MOU's for each program being supported by the Grant that describe, in detail, the scope of work for that particular program.
Reason for Recommendation: The State is providing additional funding in FY 2006-07 to support an expansion of services for the HIV Prevention Program. These amendments are retroactive to July 1, 2006 due to late receipt of documents from the State.
Action to be taken following Board approval:
1) Board Chairman to sign eight (8) original AIDS Master Grant face sheets where indicated
2) Board Chairman to sign six (6) original HIV Prevention MOU face sheets where indicated
3) Board Chairman to sign one (1) original CCC-304 Certification where indicated
4) Board Clerk to return documents to Department
5) Department to forward to State of California for final execution
6) Department to return one fully executed original of each document to the Board Clerk's Office upon receipt from the State.
