Planning and Building Department, Planning Services Division, Long Range Planning Unit and Tahoe Planning and Building Division recommending the Board review and provide direction on the Long Range Planning Work Plan for Fiscal Year 2024-25, as follows:
1) Review the Staff Memo (Attachment A) and Work Plan (Attachment B);
2) Direct staff to modify the Work Plan, as necessary, to reflect the Board’s current priorities; and
3) Endorse a final Work Plan that prioritizes County’s Long Range Planning initiated projects managed by the Planning Services Division, Long Range Planning Unit and Tahoe Planning and Building Division for Fiscal Year 2024-25.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
On February 24, 2015 (Legistar File 13-0510), the Board endorsed Long Range Planning’s (LRP) first Work Plan that set priorities for County-initiated land use, housing, transportation, and stormwater projects/programs managed by LRP.
The attached Staff Memo (Attachment A) includes proposed priority projects for Fiscal Year (FY) 2024-25, LRP ongoing activities, and staff resources. The attached Project Work Plan for FY 2024-25 (Attachment B) includes the proposed list of projects with anticipated completion dates and other key information.
ALTERNATIVES
The Board could choose to direct staff to modify the Work Plan to better reflect its current priorities; or the Board could choose not to endorse the Work Plan.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funding for the proposed projects listed in the Work Plan (Attachment B) have been included in the FY 2024-25 Approved Budget, with items carried over from the FY 23-24 Budget. Funding for these projects beyond FY 24-25 will be included in subsequent years’ budgets accordingly.
