DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
In May 2024, Secure Smart Solutions was awarded El Dorado County Bid 24-0042 for Tenable Vulnerability Management solutions, including software licenses, QuickStart implementation services, and training programs. The initial Purchase Contract was for one-year and covered the period of May 10, 2024, through May 9, 2025. The bid included pricing for years two and three of the Tenable software solutions, at a rate of $78,959 per year. IT wishes to execute an extension for Purchase Contract 8711 for the additional years of Tenable software, bringing the NTE of the contract to $256,918 and extending the term of the agreement through May 9, 2027.
Tenable Vulnerability Management software provides a risk-based view of network and server platforms to quickly identify, investigate, and prioritize vulnerabilities. The software offers comprehensive vulnerability coverage with real-time continuous assessment. The solution allows users to see every asset, predict risky vulnerabilities, and maximize risk reduction. Tenable Vulnerability solutions are an integral part of the Countywide Security platforms, providing oversight, management, ongoing application scanning, and advanced identity exposure support.
Upon Board approval, the Purchase Contract will be amended by the Purchasing Agent to extend the software as outlined in Bid 24-0042.
ALTERNATIVES
The Board could decline to extend the extension and provide alternate direction for vulnerability management solutions.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
