DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATIONS:
The County Surveyor's Office has reviewed the request, and recommends the Board approve and adopt the Resolution of Vacation terminating and abandoning the described drainage, slope and public utility easements .
 
DISCUSSION BACKGROUND:
A request has been submitted by, Eric Schnetz, owner of APN 120-650-27,  requesting that the County of El Dorado, Board of Supervisors, vacate drainage, slope and public utility easements  located on the subject property. Said easements are more particularly described in Exhibit A, and depicted on Exhibit B of attached Resolution.
 
The drainage, slope and public utility easements , as shown on Lot 27 of "RIDGEWAY WEST UNIT NO. 2", recorded at Book J of Subdivisions at Page 6 were offered to the County of  El Dorado by, Ridgeview West, L.L.C., a California Limited Liability Company , on September 12, 2002. On June 10, 2003, the slope and public utility easements were accepted by the County of El Dorado and the drainage easements were rejected. The Subdivision Map recorded on June 11, 2003.
 
ALTERNATIVES: N/A
 
OTHER DEPARTMENT / AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
AT&T, Comcast, El Dorado Irrigation District and Pacific Gas & Electric have not used said easements for the purpose for which they were dedicated and find no present or future need exists for those portions of the easements and do not object to their vacation, and to that end, have all issued letters to this effect.
The Community Development Agency, Transportation Division has not used said easements for the purpose for which they were dedicated and find no present or future need exists for those portions of the easements and do not object to their vacation, and to that end, has provided written approval to the County Surveyor's Office.
 
CAO RECOMMENDATION:
CAO recommending the Board move staff's recommendations.
 
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact associated with this item
 
CLERK OF THE BOARD FOLLOW UP ACTIONS:
1) Clerk of the Board to obtain the Chair's signature on the Resolution.
2) Clerk of the Board to record the Resolution and attached Exhibits.
3) Clerk of the Board to return a copy of the recorded Resolution and attached Exhibits to the Surveyor's Office for further processing.
 
DEPARTMENT FOLLOW UP ACTIONS:
Surveyor's Office will coordinate with the applicant's Professional Land Surveyor or Registered Civil Engineer licensed to practice surveying, to have the Certificate of Correction Modification or Amendment recorded on
    Book J of Subdivisions at Page 6.
