Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: This amount has already been budgeted in the FY 2007-08 adopted budget.
Background: Each year the State of California issues AIDS Program funding to California counties to continue their work preventing, counseling, testing, and tracking HIV/AIDS. The documents include a Master Grant, which describes the terms/conditions and reimbursement/reporting procedures, and individual MOUs for each program being supported by the Grant that describe, in detail, the scope of work for that particular program.
Reason for Recommendation: The State is providing additional funding in FY 2007-08 to support an expansion of services for the HIV Prevention Program. These amendments are retroactive to July 1, 2007 due to the late receipt of documents from the State - Amendment I (received from State March 25, 2008).
Action to be taken following Board approval:
1) Board Chairman to sign seven (7) original AIDS Master Grant face sheets where indicated.
2) Board Chairman to sign three (3) original HIV Prevention MOU face sheets where indicated.
3) Department to forward to State of California for final execution.
4) Department to return one fully executed original of each document to the Board Clerks Office upon receipt from the State.
