Body

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND

A request has been submitted by Matthew Steffen and Monica Steffen, husband and wife, as Community Property with right of survivorship, owners of Assessor's Parcel Number 116-393-001, requesting that the County of El Dorado, Board of Supervisors, vacate the entirety of the 50’ Ingress and Egress easement located on said property. The easement is more particularly described in Exhibit A and depicted on Exhibit B of the attached Resolution.

The 50’ Ingress and Egress easement, as shown on Lot 43 of Viewpointe, recorded in Book G of Subdivisions at Page 12, was created by Reynen & Bardis, a General Partnership By: John D. Reynen and Christo D. Bardis, on May 15, 1984. The easement was never offered therefore it was neither rejected nor accepted by the County of El Dorado, and the Subdivision Map was recorded on May 31, 1984.

Alexander H. Massey and Helen Y. Cheng, owners of the parcel intended for the use of said easement (located at 3371 Woodleigh Lane) have not used said subject easement for the purpose for which it was dedicated and find no present or future need exists for said subject easement and do not object to their vacation, and to that end, have issued a letter to that effect.
