DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND

A request has been submitted by Mousa M. Amiri, a married man, owner of Assessor's Parcel Number 120-630-016, requesting that the County of El Dorado, Board of Supervisors, vacate the Landscape and Slope Maintenance and Public Utility easements located on said property. The easements are more particularly described in Exhibit A and depicted on Exhibit B of the attached Resolution.

 

The Landscape and Slope Maintenance and Public Utility  easements, as shown on Parcel A, formerly known as Lot 52 of Amended Plat of Crescent Hills Unit NO. 2 (S.D. H-34) & The Amended Map of Crescent Hills Unit NO. 2 (S.D. H-121), recorded in Book I of Subdivisions at Page 99, were offered to the County of El Dorado by GB Crescent Hills, A California General Partnership By Norman C. Brown, on May 2nd, 2001.  The easements were acknowledged by the County of El Dorado on August 15, 2001, and the Subdivision Map was recorded on August 15, 2001. Said easements are also shown on a secondary Parcel Map, recorded in Book 48, Page 19. Upon recordation of said resolution, the termination of said subject easements will also apply to said Parcel Map.

 

Department of Transportation, AT&T, Comcast, El Dorado Irrigation District and Pacific Gas & Electric have not used said subject easements for the purposes for which they were dedicated and find no present or future need exists for said subject easements and do not object to their vacation, and to that end, have all issued letters to that effect.

FINANCIAL IMPACT

The Surveyor’s Office collects a fee for processing the Abandonment of Easement on a time and materials basis. The approval of this item has no fiscal impact.

 

CLERK OF THE BOARD FOLLOW UP ACTIONS

1) Clerk of the Board to obtain the Chair's signature on the one (1) Resolution.

2) Clerk of the Board to record the Resolution at the Recorder’s Office.

3) Clerk of the Board to return a copy of the recorded Resolution for further processing to the Surveyor's Office, Attn: Carter Meyers.
