Human Services Department, Community Services Division, recommending Resolution authorizing the Chairman to sign Amendment 2 to Contract AP-0708-29 with the California Department of Aging, increasing the maximum grant amount by $252 to $1,262,742 for the term July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008 for the provision of Senior Services during FY 2007/08; and further authorizing the Area Agency on Aging Director to continue to administer Contract AP-0708-29 as amended and execute subsequent documents relating to the contract, including amendments thereto, contingent upon approval of County Counsel and Risk Management, that do not affect the dollar amount or the term, and to sign required fiscal and programmatic reports.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt Resolution 76-2008.

Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: No change.
The $252 increase payable by the State to El Dorado County under this Contract is budgeted for FY 2007/08.
Reason for Recommendation:
On May 15, 2007 the Board adopted Resolution No. 104-2007 authorizing execution of Contract AP-0708-29 with the California Department of Aging (CDA) in the amount of $1,229,552. On January 29, 2008 the Board adopted Resolution No. 16-2008 authorizing execution of Amendment 1 to Contract AP-0708-29 with CDA increasing the grant amount by $32,938 to $1,262,490. Amendment 2 provides an additional $252 in Federal funding to offset an error in the Title III C-1 and C-2 Senior Nutrition Program General Fund Formula. County Counsel and Risk Management have approved the Amendment. The Contract Amendment, Resolution and Blue Route are attached.

Board Clerk to provide Human Services, Community Services Division, with three (3) certified resolutions and four (4) copies of Amendment 2 to Contract AP-0708-29 signed by the Chairman.
