Human Services Department, Community Services Division, recommending approval of Vendor Agreement with Del Oro Caregiver Resource Center for the period July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008 for reimbursement for respite services for the Senior Day Care Program; and Director of said Department be authorized to sign said agreement and any subsequent amendments thereto, that do not affect the term or the dollar amount contingent upon approval by County Counsel and Risk Management.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve.

Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: None. The reimbursement rate of $44 per day covers the entire cost of providing services. There is no maximum annual reimbursement amount. However, usage is estimated and budgeted at $20,000 for FY 2007/08.
Background: Del Oro Caregiver Resource Center is a private non-profit agency that receives annual funding from the State Department of Mental Health, which enables them to reimburse thirteen counties in their designated region, including El Dorado County, for respite services to their eligible clients. A number of Senior Day Care clients are DCRC eligible, and the cooperative contractual arrangement, first established in 1989-90, benefits both the Program and the clients.
Reason for Recommendation: The Del Oro Caregiver Resource Center (DCRC) provides $44 per day funding per person for respite care as provided by the Department's Senior Day Care Program. This "Vendor Agreement" is the contract that allows for reimbursement to the County for services to eligible Del Oro clients during fiscal year 2007-08.
Action to be taken following Board approval: Human Services Director to execute DCRC Vendor Agreement.
