Department of Human Services recommending the Board adopt a Resolution authorizing the Chair to sign Contract AP-1011-29 in the amount of $924,238 and the accompanying Contractor/Vendor Confidentiality Statement and Contractor Certification Clauses (CCC307), with the California Department of Aging for the provision of Title III/VII senior services during the term July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011; and authorizing the Director of the El Dorado County Area Agency on Aging to execute further documents relating to Contract AP-1011-29, including amendments thereto, contingent upon approval by County Counsel and Risk Management, that do not affect the dollar amount or the term, and to sign subsequent required fiscal and programmatic reports.

The amount payable by the State to the County of El Dorado (County) under this Contract is $924,238. This funding is included in the FY 2010-11 County Budget Request.
Reason for Recommendation:
Contract AP-1011-29 provides $924,238 in federal/state funding for provision of Older Americans Act senior services during FY 2010-11. These services are designed to improve the lives of seniors age 60 and over and eligible disabled or at-risk adults residing in the County to help them remain independent to the extent possible. The resolution further authorizes the Area Agency on Aging Director, or successor, to administer Contract AP-1011-29 and execute subsequent documents relating to the contract, including amendments thereto, contingent upon approval by County Counsel and Risk Management, that do not affect the dollar amount or the term, and to sign required fiscal and programmatic reports.
Action to be taken following Board approval:
1) Board Clerk to provide Human Services at Briw Road with three (3) certified resolutions, three (3) full copies and three (3) cover pages of Contract AP-1011-29, two (2) Contractor/Vendor Confidentiality Statements and two (2) Contractor Certification Clauses (CCC307) signed by the Chair.
2) Human Services to distribute as appropriate and return one (1) fully executed copy of Contract AP-1011-29 to the Board Clerk.
