Body
DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
In collaboration with Facilities, a division of the Chief Administrative Office, Human Resources (HR) conducted a comprehensive review of the classification specification of Custodial Supervisor which was last revised in 2020. The proposed revisions and title change were developed through close coordination between the department and HR to improve clarity, precision, and consistency throughout the specification and accurately represent the work conducted. Additionally, the revision includes a minimum qualification revision, that removes the reference to the abolished County classification of Sr. Custodian, and a modification to attract a larger, yet still qualified applicant pool.
ALTERNATIVES
The Board could choose not to approve the recommendation and direct Human Resources to make revisions or conduct additional analysis.
