DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND

Three (3) fleet vehicles have met the County criteria for replacement and have been included on the Fixed Asset List for Fiscal Year (FY) 2024-25. The replacement vehicles consist of three (3) mid-size sedans all wheel drive. At the request of the Department of Transportation, Maintenance and Operations Division (Transportation), the Procurement and Contracts Division issued an invitation to Bid 24-0113 for the purchase three (3) of Nissan Altima SV AWD vehicles.

Sixty-eight vendors were notified through PlanetBids, three to local vendors. One qualified response was received from A1 Financial Services LLC, of Moreno Valley, CA.

The function served by each vehicle is critical to the operation of the department for which it is assigned. Department needs cannot be met through the redistribution of underutilized vehicles.
