Chief Administrative Office, Facilities Division, recommending the Board authorize the Purchasing Agent to sign Amendment II to Agreement for Services 271-O1611 (3864) with Modular Space Corporation, Inc., to authorize the assignment of Modular Space Corporation, Inc. to Williams Scotsman, Inc. to provide temporary office space for the Air Quality Management District (AQMD).
FUNDING: AQMD Permit Revenues, Penalty Revenue, State Grant Administration Funds, Motor Vehicle Emission Reduction Program Administration Funds.

This agreement was awarded pursuant to a Request for Proposal (RFP) that was issued on August 13th, 2015 in preparation for the Buildings A & B renovation project. The breadth of the project necessitated the need for temporary office space as differing departments were relocated temporarily.
During this same time frame the Air Quality Management District (AQMD) was researching a new location and the decision was made to station them within the temporary office space until a final destination could be determined. An amendment to the contract was approved by the Board on January 9, 2018 with Legistar File 18-0031 to facilitate their continued use of this space.
Within the last few months the Modular Space Corporation, Inc. was acquired by Williams Scotsman, Inc. and this Amendment II assigns the contract to the new entity. There is no change in compensation or term.
ALTERNATIVES
The AQMD currently utilizes this space and should the Board decline to approve the amendment a different temporary office space will need to be located to house the District.
