The notice below is running in the local newspapers this next week.  Any person interested may apply for the positions.  Applicants should be knowledgeable and experienced in the Agricultural Fruit and Nut Farming Industry or Livestock Industry. The term of office for these positions is estimated to begin January 1, 2023 to January 2027.

 

 

NOTICE OF TERM OF OFFICE EXPIRATION

 

EL DORADO COUNTY AGRICULTURAL COMMISSION

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the current 4-year term of office for the Member positions representing the Fruit and Nut Farming Industry and the Livestock Industry on the El Dorado County Agricultural Commission will expire on January 1, 2023. The incumbents have the right to re-apply if so desired.

 

Any person interested may apply for the positions.  Applicants should be knowledgeable and experienced in the Livestock Industry Field or the Fruit and Nut Industry. The term of office for these positions is estimated to begin January 2023 to January 2027.

 

Applications are to be submitted online at:

Description:  The Agricultural Commission is an advisory body to and for the Board of Supervisors and the Planning Commission on all matters pertaining to agriculture. The Commission shall advise the Board of procedures and techniques requiring legislative or policy sections that will encourage and promote agricultural activities that are conducive to the continued wellbeing of El Dorado County. The Commission shall formulate and recommend to the Board, general policies related to the purposes of the Commission.  Any person interested may apply for the position.  Applicants should be knowledgeable and experienced in the Fruit and Nut Farming Industry or the Livestock Industry. The terms of office for these positions are estimated to begin January 1, 2023 through January 1, 2027.

 

Term for this Vacancy:  January 2023 to January 2027.

 

 Pursuant to Section 4(a) of the Agricultural Commission Bylaws, adopted by the Board of Supervisors on August 31, 2004, “an independent review panel will be established to review and screen applications and make recommendations for appointment to the Agricultural Commission when a vacancy occurs.”  The Bylaws specifically identifies your organization as a participant of the Review Panel.  Please notify, Myrna Tow, Clerk to the Agricultural Commission, by November 23, 2022, with the name of the individual who will be representing your organization, his or her telephone number and email address.  The interviews will be held on Monday December 5, at 9:00 a.m., in the Bethell-Delfino Agriculture Building, located at 311 Fair Lane, Placerville.
