The work performed under these Agreements is not included in classifications assigned to bargaining units. Additionally, the County does not own the facilities or specialized equipment required to perform this type of work.
DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
In October 2017, at the request of Transportation, the Procurement and Contracts Division of the Chief Administrative Office issued a RFP for on-call equipment, truck, and automotive body work and painting services. The services to be provided shall include, but not be limited to, furnish personnel, equipment, materials, parts, supplies, subcontractors and services necessary to provide on-call equipment, truck, and automotive body work and painting services. Transportation evaluated the proposals and recommends that Agreements be awarded to the two successful proposers, Frank's Body Shop, Inc., and G & O Body Shop, Inc., each in the amount of $150,000 for a term of three years.
